Dingiswayo was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. His family has been traditional musicians for generations as far back as they can remember. Dingiswayo is a master mbira player from the well-known Shona tradition.

He is now based in Cape Town, South Africa where he performs as a soloist and with various groups. He also leads drum facilitations and African music workshops. When Dingiswayo performs, one can not help but be hypnotized by his truly beautiful music and spirit.
